Paleo Tandoori Style Chicken Recipe


I love Tandoori chicken and this recipe is no exception. You and your family will enjoy it too and it cooks quickly on the grill or under the broiler. Serve with wilted spinach and onions.

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled and diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 2 pounds chicken breast, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • Skewers, optional

Squeeze lemon for juice and combine all ingredients except chicken breast in a large bowl or ziplock bag. Stir to combine well and add chicken. Marinade in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours. Pat dry chicken and place on skewers if using. Preheat grill to 400 degrees or turn broiler on high. Cook chicken, turning once, approximately 20 minutes or until internal temperature of 165 degrees or broil approximately 15 minutes.
