Paleo-Friendly Butternut Fries

If you’ve been missing french fries, you’ll love this healthy version of butternut fries. With no hydrogenated oils or excess starches, you’ll be impressed with the results. The tallow is what really makes these fries authentic.

  • One butternut squash, peeled and sliced into thin wedges
  • 1/3 cup beef tallow
  • sea salt to taste

Directions:

Melt tallow in a large cast iron skillet and heat until water dropped in the tallow sizzles. Add butternut squash and stir often. Continue cooking squash until tender and crispy on the outside. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with sea salt.
